About

Life, values, and inspirations shared

I've been passionate about computers and technology since childhood. I still vividly remember the day my father taught me how to build a PC ‐ an experience that sparked my curiosity and set me on a lifelong journey of figuring out how things work. That moment laid the foundation for my ongoing exploration of the digital world.

While technology plays a huge role in my life, my interests extend far beyond it. Music has always been a constant companion, whether in the raw energy of rock or the immersive depth of ambient soundscapes. I'm also a big fan of literature ‐ everything from sci-fi and fantasy to philosophical classics. These stories and ideas push me to see things from different angles and challenge the way I think.

Education

Insights from my academic path

WSB Merito University in Wrocław

2022 ‐ present

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, specializing in Cloud Computing Architecture

During my time at WSB Merito University, I've had the opportunity to gain knowledge primarily from a practical perspective while also covering theoretical aspects, which are just as important as practice. I've honed my programming skills in Python, mainly in web development and AI/ML. I've also gained experience in .NET development and in programming for the Arduino platform.

However, computer science isn't just about programming ‐ I've also completed courses in computer networks, database management, server administration on both Windows and Linux, Bash scripting, and software testing.

Additionally, I've completed courses that I consider crucial for future IT graduates, such as mathematics, physics, and algorithms and data structures. These subjects have helped me develop logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills. I've also had the chance to participate in an Agile methodology course.

During my specialization, I've worked with platforms such as AWS and Azure, though I've dedicated most of my time to AWS. I've gained valuable experience using tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, Grafana, and Docker.

I've also had the opportunity to observe best practices in software development from more experienced colleagues, as well as share my knowledge with those who are just beginning their journey in the field.

Professional roles and open source impact

The Fedora Project

Open source contribution as an English to Polish translator

I've volunteered as part of the Fedora Localization Project. I've translated software, documentation, and interface elements into Polish, which resulted in high-quality translations that improved the user experience for the Polish-speaking community.

Personally, I use English as my primary language on all of my desktops, but I know many people prefer to use their native language as the default, and I fully understand and respect that preference. These individuals are the main reason why I contribute to the Fedora Localization Project ‐ to apply my knowledge and assist others when using or considering using Fedora Linux.

Blog

From life to technology, my honest musings

A photo showing a mug with the word "Hello" and a phone
It's finally here!

When I started, the blog was the least important part - I mainly wanted to showcase myself and my previous projects. At the same time, I wanted to improve my skills in Vue.js and Nuxt.js, and I think this project definitely helped me do that. I also got to polish my TypeScript skills and gain experience in general application architecture.
